Your Meal Matters – Because Everyone’s Health Matters

Your Meal Matters provides professional consultancy and advice to women on their individual nutritional needs and health goals. It aims to improve the health and well-being of their clients throughout the world via it’s crafted nutritional plans, diet programs and workout programs. It also works with certain small food businesses to create healthy food products that are chemical and preservative free.

Pona Jella, the founder of Your Meal Matters, has years of industry experience and expertise in nutrition and food technology, she offers specialized assistance in establishing goals, providing education and training, and also establishes a quality assurance program to meet the specific needs of every individual client.

Why and how did you start your company?

Pona Jella is an Electrical Engineer turned Nutritionist and a Food Technologist. She began as a food consultant and nutritionist to family and friends with the intention to improve the health of near ones and society at large. Her passion for food and creating healthy alternatives pushed her to launch her first company NutNut in 2014. It manufactures healthy and tasty alternative snacks for kids of age 5 to 15 years.

With the in person consultation, she was able to help only those people who came to her directly, or through some connections. Hence, she decided to start Your Meal Matters to help more people at scale, especially working women, who couldn’t devote much time to their health because of time constraints as well as due to their professional commitments.

What makes your business, service or product special? How does it impact people’s life?

Nutritious and healthy food has magical power to keep our body fit and mind serene. Many people understand the importance of healthy foods but find it difficult to commit to change. A nutritionist provides a patient with much needed nutrition information and education but also counsels and works with the individual to understand their specific situation and empower one to make positive improvements.

Pona Jella explained,

I’m an ambitious, high achieving woman. I understand and relate the pains of fellow women. In leadership roles, women undergo tremendous stress which often leads to frequent headaches, hormonal imbalances, fatigue, exhaustion, lack of sleep, irregular eating, etc., and so many others. These issues bring with them their own set of difficulties and challenges to a body, and on top of it, women may also have to take care of their families and children’s health as well. The stress of what to eat, how to prepare food on time, etc., is another big challenge.

We all want to eat healthy but are concerned and unwilling to cook because of the quantum of time which one requires to devote to it. Therefore, we address and aid these daily challenges by making healthy eating and cooking, easy and effortless for everyone. Most of us are always short on time, so we have also designed inclusive workout regimens that can be done anywhere and anytime to fit anyone’s schedule.

What have been your biggest success factors?

We understand the importance of nutrition and the intention to spread this knowledge and unbiased advice to the community really excites us. Also, significant support from family and time management proved to be the biggest success factors.

Which do you think is most important: the right product, the right market, or the right team?

We believe that researching potential clients before making a product is the most important step to a successful business.

What are your future plans and aspirations for your company?

We want to make Your Meal Matters a one-stop firm for every woman’s health and wellness needs. We also want to provide pre-ordered healthy meals as a high-quality meal made up of real whole-foods can make a huge impact in one’s overall well-being.
